Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson reckons Club can now reap the benefits of improving Fernando Torres, against Birmingham City starting on Sunday.

Torres returned to Merseyside this season carrying groin injury suffered in Spain World Cup triumph over the Netherlands.

26-year-old, who missed the end of last season after undergoing knee surgery has been partially used by Hodgson this season and have not yet completed 90 minutes.

"Is a good sign," Hodgson says Liverpool Echo. "He was the top scorer, he was the player of quality and is someone we were desperate to keep the atmosphere of the Club, because if you are going to have a good season, players will need to be like him.
