Jefferies face Committee SFA

Celtic v HeartsHighlights-Celtic 3-0 Hearts Hearts Manager Jim Jefferies will face disciplinary Committee of the Scottish Football Association after being charged with excessive lack.

Jefferies has since apologised for behavior that resulted in it being sent to support at 3-0 defeat of his side at Celtic Park on Saturday.

Referee Willie Collum ordered Jefferies out to complain that Daryl Murphy was offside to Celtic's goal.

His punishment could be increased beyond the two-match ban.

Jefferies has already contacted the head of SFA development of referee, Hugh Dallas, apologize to the Assistant ref Francis Andrews.

Ultimately, if someone has been abusive to employees of play during the game, I don't think matching employees must entertain them after the game
Former referee SFA Kenny Clark

Television Replays later proved Andrews correct in his decision not offside Flag Murphy and Jefferies now receive a ban on Kick two automatic game to be expelled so in addition to respond before the Disciplinary Committee for their behavior.

Collum advised him to offensive language, insulting and abusive, and "excessive" misconduct in its report of correspondence, who arrived in the Office of the SFA on Tuesday.

Jefferies could also face a charge of bringing the game into disrepute for comments he made after departure.

The boss Hearts said after 3-0 defeat her in Glasgow he had reported referee Collum to observer of Scottish Premier League.

The head of hearts claims, later the first goal of Celtic, Collum spoke to him as "a boy".

But the Scottish football will take action against Jefferies.

It is believed that the report of the referee accused Jefferies to use foul language and an insult to employees.

Andrews-who is considered by SFA as one of the top Assistant referees in Europe-is convinced that he made the right decision not to raise your flag.

Jefferies said that he had been told by your own Club television crew that their footage revealed that the goal of Forrest was offside, along with the Celtic second, marked by Shaun Maloney.

The Manager also claimed that he had been told that Andrews believed Collum should have given Hearts a second-half penalty when David Templeton came crashing to the ground at the edge of the box under pressure from Celtic defence Emilio Izaguirre.

However, BBC television images suggest that Hearts Defender Darren Murphy Barr had played onside to and filming is inconclusive for the second.

There seems to be the contact between Templeton and Izaguirre with hearts 2-0 Hearts behind, although seem to have had a stronger case for a marginally free kick out of the box than a penalty although Celtic manager Neil Lennon himself thought he could have been a penalty.

Jefferies said he had demanded an apology from Collum to not delete the opening goal of impediment, but had been shown "a lack of respect".

However, although he had not yet seen the television footage of the incident light, former referee Kenny Clark believes that the Manager of hearts was using tactics designed to divert attention away from losing their unbeaten run this season.

"Any complaint by Jim Jefferies is treated with the contempt it deserves," said the BBC Scotland.

"Ultimately, if someone has been abusive to employees of play during the game, I don't think matching employees must entertain them after the game.

"This was the first real test of the hearts of the season after being in a good race and these remarks appear designed to distract everyone of his defeat.

"Hearts fans, judging from Internet message boards, have bought into that, instead of examining the tactics Manager and performances of their players."

Meanwhile, Jefferies is preparing to be suspended kick after the referee's report arrives at the Office of the SFA on Monday.

"My record is good, but I'll probably be banned," said the Manager, which then would face more action their comments after-match.

Quick Weight Loss or quackery

Cellulite - Reduce The Appearance

---------------------------------

Sallie Elizabeth has always had large breasts and a big

bottom, and she has accepted them as part of her genetic

makeup. But when cellulite appeared in the back of her upper

leg, she "freaked out" and resolved to do something about

it.

A friend recommended endermologie, a deep massage treatment

using a motorized device with two adjustable rollers and

controlled suction. The device is said to improve the look

of cellulite by gently folding and unfolding the skin for

smooth and regulated deep-tissue movement.

The cellulite is "less visible," she says, noting her

smoother, softer skin. "I feel healthier. My circulation has

improved ... and I feel more relaxed."

To keep up the effects, the 20-something model visits Smooth

Synergy, a cosmedical spa in Manhattan, once or twice a week

for 35-minute sessions with the endermologie machine and a

technician.

Elizabeth may be enjoying her cellulite-busting experience,

but experts raise eyebrows at many tools or treatments

purported to reduce the appearance of cellulite, trim fat in

specific areas, shed pounds, or build muscle, particularly

if they claim to replace exercise and good nutrition.

"They're a waste of money," says Richard Cotton, a spokesman

for the American Council on Exercise and chief exercise

physiologist for myexerciseplan.com.

If that is the case, then a sizeable chunk of currency could

be going down the drain. According to a Federal Trade

Commission (FTC) weight loss advertising trend report, in

the year 2000 alone, consumers spent an estimated $34.7

billion on weight-loss products and programs.

While it is not known how much of that accounts for sales of

unproven or fraudulent merchandise, an FTC study of weight

loss ads from different media shows that nearly 40% of ads

make at least one false claim, and an additional 15% make at

least one claim that is very likely false, or lacks proof.

To add to the number soup: Results from a national health

survey conducted between 1999 and 2000 indicate that more

than six out of every 10 Americans are overweight or obese,

a figure that has increased dramatically in recent years.

Another recent survey that looked at the attitudes of

Americans adults toward their own weight found that despite

the fact that two-thirds of men were considered overweight,

only about half (51%) said they wanted to lose weight versus

68% of women who said they wanted to lose weight.

Put it all together and there are arguably more people

wanting to use weight loss products, and according to the

government's trend report, the "marketplace has responded

with a proliferating array of products and services, many

promising miraculous, quick-fix remedies."

There are, indeed, numerous therapies, including weight loss

programs and dietary supplements. Then there are the popular

treadmills, bun and ab rollers, the body bow, and bun and

thigh max.

For this piece, however, WebMD looked only into passive

exercise devices such as electrical muscle stimulators and

toning tables, cellulite reduction therapies, and gels,

creams, eyeglasses, earrings and similar doodads marketed

for weight loss, and muscle-building.

Granted, not all remedies may be the same, but health

professionals say far too many of them can't be trusted.

Passive Weight Loss

-------------------

To Elizabeth's credit, she tries to eat right, jog, do

Pilates, and perform squats to supplement her endermologie

sessions. In fact, good nutrition and regular physical

activity are recommended with the treatment.

However, many weight loss, cellulite-busting, and

muscle-building products promise results without having to

do too much.

"It's the idea that an individual can get to the body size

they want without any increase in physical activity or

without any change in eating," says Jennifer Anderson, PhD,

RD, professor and extension specialist at Colorado State

University's department of food science and human nutrition.

She simply laughs at appetite-suppressing eyeglasses, weight

loss patches and chewing gum, toning gels, fat-melting

creams, and evening solutions that claim to trim waistlines

during sleep.

"In some instances, it's a total gimmick," says Anderson.

"In other instances, it will reduce a lot of water weight

quickly, but it's never going to change eating behaviors,

activity levels, and make that the key to their lifestyle."

This quick water weight loss never leads to real, long-term

weight loss, says Anderson, noting that the only weight loss

and toning plan that works involves eating well and moving

your body.

Furthermore, she says there is no proof that cellulite can

be massaged away or taken out by injections of vitamins,

special underwear, or use of other gizmos. To get rid of the

dimpled fat, weight must be shed, and skin made firmer by

doing strength training.

Francie M. Berg, a licensed nutritionist, and founder of the

Healthy Weight Network, agrees. "If you want to tone your

body or become more fit, you need to do the work. It's not

lying on a table, and having [a gadget] lift your feet," she

says referring to no-effort toning tables, beds, and

machines.

The value of toning and weight loss equipment depends on how

much work you can get a person to do to burn energy, says

Berg, pointing out that when people see desired results with

normally passive devices and treatments, it's usually

because they've also made efforts to eat well or exercise.

Truth With A Twist

----------------

Berg coordinates the Task Force on Weight Loss Abuse for the

National Council Against Health Fraud, which gives out

annual Slim Chance Awards to selected weight loss products.

This year's "worst gimmick" prize went out to MagnaSlim,

which claims to relieve stress and its byproduct of

overeating by placing magnets and a magnetized solution at

specific acupuncture points. The magnet at the acupressure

point would supposedly improve cell function, restore Chi

(life force energy), and give a person more control over

what they put in their mouths.

Weight loss promoters have long cashed in on the concept of

acupressure and magnetic therapy for weight loss, even

though there is no proof it works, says Berg. Items using

similar concepts on the market include magnetic weight-loss

earrings, adhesives, beads, and seeds.

It is apparently not uncommon for manufacturers to piggyback

on ideas and studies that may have genuine validity, and

twist them for commercial purposes.

Another example would be the electrical muscle stimulators

(EMS) promoted to do anything from slough off weight to tone

muscle to form six-pack abs. Some ads claim this is possible

without exercise.

Health experts scoff at such an idea, but do say EMS is a

valuable tool for physical therapy. "There are times when

that really helps," says Anderson, pointing to

rehabilitation programs for people with physical injuries or

stroke-related debilitation.

"The problem I have with it is if it's being marketed as

muscle stimulation, and that will help you tone up and lose

weight," says Anderson. "Well, it probably will help you

tone a little bit, but it shouldn't take place of being more

active and looking at how many calories we put in our mouth

each day."

Gad Alon, PhD, associate professor in the department of

physical therapy and rehabilitation science at the

University of Maryland in Baltimore, has studied the effects

of EMS, and many promoters often refer to his research in

peddling their wares.

He says many of these marketers misuse his work, saying

things like, "Seven physicians at the University of Maryland

have concluded that you may never have to do sit-ups again."

First of all, says Alon, there were no physicians present

for the studies; he and his students conducted the studies,

and they never addressed the topic of weight loss.

Alon warns, though, that some EMS devices in the market

might not have the proper specifications to work properly.

He says they may use electrodes that do not have good

conductivity, or some may be too small to cover large muscle

areas.

The Damage and what to do with it

--------------------------------

Some of the weight loss gadgets may seem too good to be

true, yet even smart people fall for them. Why are people so

willing to believe these quick and easy schemes?

"Hope springs eternal," says Edward Abramson, PhD, a

clinical psychologist, and author of Emotional Eating: What

You Need to Know Before Starting Another Diet. He says

people are always looking for a shortcut, especially for

difficult, ongoing problems.

Besides losing money on bunk products, however, consumers

could get their hopes dashed. Abramson says repeated

disappointments with weight loss could undermine a person's

overall sense of well-being. He says some people could even

internalize blame to a point that could lead to eating

disorders.

Berg adds that false weight loss systems and goods could

also prevent people from seeking real treatment, interfere

with responsible programs that do work, and promote distrust

of the medical community.

To avoid falling prey to such schemes, the FDA says

consumers should be particularly skeptical of claims

containing words like easy, effortless, guaranteed,

miraculous, magical, breakthrough, new discovery,

mysterious, exotic, secret, exclusive, and ancient.

The experts interviewed by WebMD also recommend

concentrating on weight-management strategies that are

proven to work, such as incorporating a balanced diet with

reduced calories with a regular exercise regimen. Some tips

include:

Eat more fruits and vegetables. Foods high in fiber such as

whole grain breads, fruit, and cereal can help you feel full

longer.

Exercise. Get 30 minutes of physical activity a day even if

you must split it in 10-minute increments throughout the

day. Try to exercise on most days of the week; choose an

activity you enjoy. Start slowly and then add more days as

tolerated.

Be accepting. Accept your body the way it is.

Maintain. Instead of having a goal to lose weight, think of

not gaining it, says Anderson.

Be aware of your mind and body while you exercise. Cotton

says it helps not to read magazines or watch TV while

working out. "When you're present, you're better able to

make decisions about your habits ... and your true needs,"

he says.

Bursaspor received a rude awakening from sleep they suffered their Champions League 4-0 defeat of Valencia of Atatürk Stadium in their opening match in the group.

Turkish champions were made debut in the competition, but there is not a holiday in Istanbul, Aritz Aduriz Tino Costa, Pablo Hernandez's and Roberto Soldado earned their visitors comfortable three points.

Valencia, who finished third in the Primera División last season arrives in Turkey amid questions relating to their credentials after summer departures of the star duo David Villa and David Silva.

But Unai Emery Party responded in perfect style with almost flawless execution of counter-attacking in European day, storage, since they moved to the top of their group as a result of a tie between Manchester United and Rangers.

Ertugrul Saglam Bursaspor is early threat responses, with Leonel Nunez position excellent chance of an angle directly to Valencia goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez in the fifth minute.

However, Nunez to fail to capitalise proved costly in a 16-minute lead when Costa Valencia unleashed poisonous 25 yard, left footed effort that left Dimitar Ivankov home goal with no chance.

Valencia, two-time Champions League Runners-up were short, the ball with tempo and purpose and Joaquin should have been better with a header, where his team are on top.

Bursaspor remains a minor threat from set pieces, but they found themselves two goals behind in the 41st minute, when a long-range free-Costa curled-attractive and shock against Aduriz nodded in the rebound.

Things that might have got the worse for the hosts before half an hour, but Pablo Hernandez's only slightly misjudged the trajectory of delicate chip over Ivankov, since the ball ricocheted away outside razp?nka.

Bursaspor came out with the intention of after half an hour and then as a substitute for rapid counter-Turgay Bahadir, third, that he is running-in before Costa shows that he is also a defensive string to its bow with the resolution of the last gasp.

Its superiority and Valencia are protected from naive Bursaspor was punished by Pablo in the 68th minute as Spain international heels stuck in the back of the net.

Have not been content with their three-goal lead arms men and with quarter-on-an-hour clock replacement touch quickly on Alpine Soldado page break.

Valencia has been able to see the match remained in comfort, but they will be aware that await sterner test in the form of SPL Champions Rangers and Premier League giants, the United States.

Lessons in Winning when Coaching Youth Football:

Winning in youth football isn't that much different than winning in other sports. In fact there may be value in looking at teams and coaches in other sports and see if you can learn something to take to your youth football team.

Learning From John Wooden

I'm in the process or reading a book about John Woodens "Pyramid of Success". While I'm not a huge basketball fan, I thought I could learn a thing or two from this UCLA basketball legend that won 7 Consecutive NCAA National Championships, 88 straight games along with 38 consecutive NCAA Tournament wins.

Many of you may not know that when John Wooden took over UCLA, the program was a joke. Coach Wooden's main source of income was as a Dairy Manager, UCLA rarely drew over 2,000 fans and for his first 17 years they had no on-campus place to play or practice. The facilities were the absolute worst in the conference and maybe the country, yet his teams not only succeeded, they dominated year in and year out.

What surprised me most about coach Wooden's approach to the game was his absolute disinterest in the opposition. While he did study some film, he studied far less of it than any of his peers. Coach Wooden was of the strong opinion that his teams would do what they did best and spend their valuable practice time preparing to execute Coach Wooden's philosophy.

Don't Frett the Opposition, Worry About Yourself

In this book, player after player reiterated what Coach Wooden had said about the opposition. His players were very consistent in the notion they cared little about who they played or even the style they played against. In some of the games the UCLA players didn't know the names of the opposing players or even what conference the opposing team was from. This wasn't because UCLA didn't respect the opposition, it was because they truly felt, it really didn't matter who they were playing against, they were going to execute. UCLA players were PLAYING AGAINST THEMSELVES, they were playing against their potential, not against an opposing team. UCLA was prepared against any philosophy, system or contingency.

These UCLA players were very confident, not in their personal abilities but in the team, the coach and the system. These UCLA teams and players had a calm aura of confidence and invincibility about themselves that served them well in close games and intimidated the heck out of most of the teams that played them.

I see so many youth football coaches scouting and worrying about the opposition when their own team is struggling with it's own execution. I watched one Louisiana youth coaches game films last season. While he claimed to play in a "tough league" where all the coaches scouted each other, I found little to scout. The execution and alignment of all the teams in this league were atrocious, something I had not even seen in rookie in-house rec level leagues here locally. All of these coaches would have been best served teaching their kids their systems and fundamentals, and not worried one iota about their opposition. The scouting time was time poorly spent.

Nebraska National Championship Example

My friend Jerry Tagge said the very same thing about the University of Nebraska football teams of 1970 and 1971. They went a combined 24-0-1 and won back to back National Championships. Jerry was the starting quarterback on both of those teams and the team leader on and off the field. When asked what was the most enduring memory of that 1971 Season which saw NU outscore its opposition 507-104 and win the National Title Game over #2 Alabama 38-6 Jerry didn't hesitate for a moment he said " We knew we were going to win every game before we stepped on the field".

Jerry said they had so much confidence in themselves, their team, their coach and their system, the only question in their mind was how much were they going to win by. While many of their games were huge blowouts, they did trail #2

Oklahoma a number of times in that game, still referred by most as the "Game of the Century". Jerry said at no time did they ever panic, they knew somehow, someway they were going to win, they stayed very upbeat and confident throughout the entire game. He said; "We just knew we were going to win", in his mind and the teams mind, the game was a foregone conclusion.

As a young kid, I was at every one of Jerry's home games in 1970 and 1971. We would get to the games very early we would go down near the field and watch the players warm up. That seems so long ago and those players all seemed so huge back then to a 10 year old boy. We would go down under the stadium and watch the players come out from the locker room for the kickoff from behind ropes. Many of the players would give you a quick hand slap if you leaned over far enough and smiled real big. What I remembered most is how calm these guys were and that none of them did any jumping up and down or hollering, like you see so much of today on TV and even in youth and High School football games. The NU players were always so eerily quiet, some would crack a smile or two, but there was zero rah rah stuff going on. It always seemed like in those days the team that was playing Nebraska often played in an inverse relationship to how much emotion they displayed. Oklahoma was one of the rare teams back in that day that could consistently compete with Nebraska and they weren't rah rah either, they were equally calm and confident.

60-3 in the 90's

There was an era in Nebraska football from 1993-1997 that the team went an amazing 60-3, winning 3 National Titles along the way and barely missing another. In those days teams would often lie down for Nebraska. What I remember most about those teams is there was zero fanfare, no players had their faces painted up, no one was jumping up and down, no one yelled, it was just Darth Vader walking down the tunnel. Someone was going to get the heck kicked out of them that day and it certainly wasn't going to be Nebraska. Quite often the other team looked like little wide eyed lambs being led to slaughter, you could feel it in the air. Sometimes an opposing team would show a bit of false nervous bravado, but back in those days most of them had those bambie eyes that said " I'm not sure whats going to happen next, but I doubt if it's going to be good for me personally". By the end of the second quarter they were looking for a "soft spot" to land to use a boxing term. If you know anyone that was in the stadium back then, just ask them. No offense to the opposition, they were always given a standing ovation by the NU fans after the game, win lose or draw. Maybe it was our way of showing our appreciation for the opposition enduring the carnage and surviving.

Were the Nebraska players cocky, arrogant or disrespectful? Not at all, they were just keenly confident in their preparation, scheme, coaches and team. They had no reason to act like clowns, they were just going to do what they knew they could do, game over, move on to the next goal. Now of course we are in a different day, the man has been seen behind the curtain, the aura is gone, Mike Tyson has been knocked out and the giant has been found to have feet of clay. But in those days, that is what it was and those same monsters exist in youth football today.

Applied to Youth Football

What can we as youth football coaches do to inspire such confidence in our youth football kids?

I can say with a great deal of confidence that it can be done. I've done it in the most ridiculous of circumstances. I have taken teams into situations where we faced enormous odds: in 2003 My Age 8-10 Team played and convincingly beat two age 11-12 League Championship teams, one at a 10,000 seat College Stadium down 7-0 and severely undersized and outmanned. In 2004 I took an all rookie rural team to an 11-0 season and beat the League Champions of a much bigger league where more than half their kids were veteran players. In 2005 I took the same team of age 8-10 non-select kids ( took all comers) and beat (30-6) a huge Inner-City Select Team that chose from over 150 kids and had not lost in 3 years. They started at least 5 kids who weighed over 150 pounds and had one monster at over 210, we on the other hand had just 2 players over 100 pounds. That same year we beat a team (mercy ruled) that had not lost in 5 years ( started our 4th team quarterback in that game) and beat another Omaha select team (36-6) that were champions of their league. In 2006 I took an age 8-10 team to a tournament in

Kansas City and we blew out a team that started 5-6 kids in excess of 150 pounds including 2 huge defensive tackles over 190, mind you our starting center weighed just 71 pounds at the time (usual starter was out). In 2007 my age 10-11 team played a Malcom team that during the National Anthem size up had 8 "striped" players to our 1. Striped means the player weighs over 128 pounds and must wear a stripe on his helmet. Not only did this team have us outnumbered 8-1 on striped players, but their stripers were huge, with at least 3 of the starters weighing over 180. Our lone striped player weighed 148 then our next biggest players were 115 and 105. In every one of these games we were outmanned but the kids were very confident.

How did we do it? I promise you it had nothing to do with paying much attention to our opposition. Had we done that I'm not sure we would have had the same amount of success. In practice we waste no time on frivolous non football activities and execute a core offense and defense to perfection against most known contingencies. We know how to align our defense on every offense and how to respond to the typical tactics used to stop our offense. Our kids are confident in the scheme, their assignments, their technique, the execution and the coaches. We expect them to do well and they expect it as well. For those of you that have the game films you know our kids don't get very excited on touchdowns or big plays, they expect them to happen, same for the coaching staff, You don't see any jumping up and down or fists in the air, it is expected, quiet calm confidence. We always talk to the kids in past terms "After we score our 4th touchdown remember to XYZ", "After the game is over remember the other team drove a long way to be here and will be very disappointed, don't jump up and down and make a big deal out of the win and make them feel bad, we expect to play well, it shouldn't be any kind of surprise" etc. I've been told our kids act a lot more confident than their outward appearance should justify.

Before games we face away from the competition and even arrive very late, we do just a 30 minute pre-game while our opposition do 60-90 minutes. Our kids seem to be a bit oblivious to who we play, rural, suburban inner-city, big, out of town etc, by ignoring the opposition and worrying about ourselves, we have created that environment. We are always in competition with ourselves, our potential, not the opposing team. Match that up with our "easy count" play mapping system, adjustments and key identifiers and the need to scout every opponent is negated. Do we scout our opposition? Very little, maybe one game a year, but they scout the heck out of us and it hasn;t seemed to help too much even with the film, book and trading information between themselves.

Once you have it rolling, the aura feeds upon itself and can include things like Championship Banners, Trophy Displays and other examples that reinforce the inevitability of your teams success in your players minds and the minds of their opponents.

Page last updated at 20:39 GMT, Friday, 17 September 2010 21:39 UKDoncaster and Leeds shared the points after a highly entertaining Yorkshire derby at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Leeds' Davide Somma and Rovers' Dean Shields both hit the woodwork in a first half played at a high tempo but short on real goalscoring chances.

The pace did not drop after the break, with Somma getting the ball in the net with 15 minutes left, only to be denied by the off-side flag.

Rovers tried for a late winner but Alex Bruce was imperious in Leeds' defence.

Doncaster began the game the brighter, pinning Leeds back straight away with their intricate passing, but when they first came close to getting on the score sheet, it was by more direct means.

Leeds' Bradley Johnson fouled James Coppinger wide on the right, and when Martin Woods fired in a free-kick, Somma failed to connect as he tried to clear the ball, forcing a fumbled save from Shane Higgs.

Within minutes Somma was in the thick of the action at the other end, as he brushed aside a featherweight Rovers defence to unleash a shot which keeper Neil Sullivan turned onto the bar.

It was then the turn of Shields to hit the woodwork for Rovers, with a right-foot curling shot against the far post from the left-hand side of the pitch.

In the second half, Somma looked to have marked his first start for Leeds with a goal as he followed up Johnson's blocked shot, but was correctly flagged for off-side.

The home side refused to give up, continually harrying the Leeds defence, but Bruce in particular proved to be an immovable object and prevented them finding a route through to goal.

Short survey of the soccer Controversy

By far is the most popular sport all over the world football. every year, millions of fans to experience the exciting moments of football players allowed to play in locations around the world. As a team sports, football makes use of the human body and the spirit, but also brings people together to measurable results. With the famous players of each country, such as the Brazilians Pelé Zico and the Hungarian Puskás, football, which is commonly referred to as Association football to distinguish it from rugby football-literally was worshipped by male fans.

At least once every boy in virtually any environment invited to participate in a friendly game of football-also known as "ball." Promoted by the international competitions such as the Olympic Games and World Championships, both held every four years is football has become the main subject of a number of discussions among men and a source of great joy or misery.Look at a great purpose or lose a game, you may receive one of the topics of discussion or party with soccer fans and sports writers alike athletes. but most importantly, football unites and inspires people of all ages everywhere in the world, regardless of their religion, their culture and their political and ethnic backgrounds.

Still, the word "football" used in reference to two different but related, team sports. While in most English-speaking countries the word "football" usually refers to the Association football is a slang abbreviation of the word "Association", in the countries of Canada, Samoa and football of the United States is used to refer to the game Rugby-also referred to as the North American football and Gaelic football. Although most of the opinion that the word "football" refers to an action that is performed by a foot-such as kicking a ball-there are some who accept and another statement justifies the use of the hands in a rugby game. in particular, during the middle ages matches played by farmers and involved a ball, it has not necessarily kick, were defined with the name "football"-games played foot-in contrast to horse riding, for example, was a sports game played by aristocrats.Under this concept, with the word "football", one can describe each game that is played on the foot.

But no matter if football was played in the first place to the top or bottom body and regardless of whether or not it should result in the use of the hands until may, the fact remains that it is the biggest success in the sports history. in fact, football is one of the few sports exists today that can exhilarate sports fans in such a degree and everyone has a round shaped ball Championship for at least a day.

Youth football-develop speed and the speed in the youth football players

Athletic development in youth football

Athletic development is the process of the development of players, speed, flexibility and speed. it is worthy goal for your players at coaching youth soccer, unfortunately, many young people trainers or take it too far, or they are in a very inefficient way.

What the poorly performing youth football teams do
When observing traditional poorly performing programmes for youth football, which is a common theme is much, much of the conditioning and or attempts on athletic development and many of the full contact scrimmaging. There is rarely little attention has been paid to the development and perfecting of offensive and defensive team implementation of technique. The traditionally successful programmes on the other hand, usually spend most of the time of their valuable practice in the development of the art and the ordinary things extraordinarily well to do so.Athletic development, air conditioning and full contact scrimmaging are usually kept to an absolute minimum with these teams.

Athletic development for youth football players is something that is a whole effort. We do a program called FASTT every spring, stands for the acceleration of the fun, speed and Technique Training. we meet only once a week for about 8 weeks, with the purpose of the introduction of the players at some basic athletic development training methods in a nice atmosphere so that if she decides to train at their own, they have a knowledge and basic to do so. a byproduct of this 90-minute sessions that teach our children how to be coachable and how we want them to be with us and their teammates to communicate.

The program consists of 30 minutes from athletic development, 30 minutes from the development of the skills of the football and 30 minutes of pure fun team-building "game" time. This mix has allowed with very high employment rate and the kids love interest rate levels high.

What should I do drilling
When we went to the sports development of the program design we looked at the explosiveness, agility and speed of our players to improve with regard to the requirements of the game of football. There are endless possibilities of training methods, in the end we chose proven speed, as well as some basic plyometric movements and improve methods and when we combined with specific movements of the football.

The key is to kill two birds with one stone, even in the spring. When you start your football practices in July or August for fall football, have you just don't have the time to do a lot of this type of activity. in the fall you have to yourself, what are my goals and what is the most effective method of there? All this goes back to your mission. Our mission is "to develop and love and appreciation of the game of football in our players to help them life lessons can the game teaches us all".We all know that this happen the children have to stick around and continue to do so. our research has shown that children play because they are having fun and they are a reasonable amount of the individual and team success. To have them that success and have fun, we have a premium in the development of good fundamental technique in perfecting the implementation of the team. The athletic development part of our program is pretty slim during the season, because with the practice of limited time, you take your time to recommend the most effective method to your goals.

The two for a deal
However, if your basic techniques develop football while they are also the advantage of athletic development, this would be a very effective and efficient use of your time. Here is an example of two very simple movements we combine to achieve this goal: a very effective movement that is used to help players body control and Acceleration skills is a stop start type movement, think of things like the pro dexterity or type drilling ladder. these exercises are usually very intense close exercises where a player needs to remain low, stop, change direction, speed up in a very short, in the direction of change, and to speed up again. of course, these are the types of things that he will be asked to do when he's on the football field.

We have this kind of movement combined with a drill which we normally use to our players get to grips with the correct shape and to speed up by the contact. displays the total drill: take a cone, and the place if counter start, you can never have too many cones, the second cone is estimated at an angle of 30 degrees to the left at about 6 feet, the third of the cone is placed on an angle of 30 degrees to the right side of the cone 2 on about 6 feet where a coach now with a high stand-up dummy. traffic to the player to run from the beginning to Cone cone 2, and then tap it come to in the area of standstill, remain low and run outside basis as he hits the cone, he then speeds up to where the coach with the launch of the pop on the cone 3 States, now the player is running is a fit to tackle on the pop with his head on the outside (right), his knees bent, his toes almost touching the pop and his head on his left shoulder contact on the contact point that you specify.

After you everyone in your small group, the fit would be the second time around the dummy players take on the ground with the responsibility of the players at the same coach coaching points.

As soon as it is finished, now take a cone, and put the 6 feet to the right of the exit cone, and have the coach with the dummy stationed 6 meters on the left, and at 30 degrees of the new 2-cone. Now repeat what you the first time around, but this time the player starts to his right and left, this time, his head will be on the left, and contact will be made with the right shoulder. the first Rep with a suitable and the second with the player that has the pop to the ground — you will have to do at a pace that where you have a player comes through on every 6 seconds, this is just one of many exercises where we have succeeded in reaching an athletic development movement in our basic drilling without the time needed to work on the form of the basic technique be substantially modified.

The keys
Don't overdo the athletic development as many trainers. very often when you do this, are not your players and teams is making good progress with basic football team technology fundamentals and. However, if exercises such as in the above example, where both athletic development and football technique be taught in the same movement can you combine, you may need to own something that makes any sense.

Premier League preview Manchester United's clash with bitter rivals Liverpool, live on Sky Sports HD1 and in 3D, is the pick of a full programme of Premier League fixtures this weekend.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson will demand that his players end a disappointing week on a high note against a Liverpool side that have yet to really find their league stride under new manager Roy Hodgson.

Elsewhere, high-flying Blackpool face a daunting task as they travel to table-toppers Chelsea, Arsenal make the trip to the North East to Sunderland, struggling West Ham will be without head coach Avram Grant at Stoke City while Wigan Athletic welcome Manchester City to the DW Stadium.

Ferguson saw his side throw away a two-goal lead at Everton last weekend before the Scot made 10 changes to his team, including the reintroduction of Wayne Rooney, for the midweek UEFA Champions League tie against Rangers. But Manchester United struggled to break down their SPL opponents, while the poor performance and result was further soured by a serious injury to Antonio Valencia. Ferguson will eye a response on Sunday against Liverpool, whom they beat 2-1 at Old Trafford last campaign. Rooney was on target that day and the focus will again be on the striker, who looked short of form on Tuesday. Liverpool, meanwhile, were comfortable victors in the Europa League on Thursday, despite resting Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard with the trip to United in mind.

Chelsea have made an imperious start to the season and on Wednesday in Europe they scored a further four goals versus MSK Zilina. Blackpool are their opponents - live on Sky Sports HD1 - and, despite a fine start by the Seasiders, an upset is surely asking too much. Blackpool crumbled to a 6-0 loss in their last visit to the capital, so, while their fearlessness is admirable, not being so gung-ho at Stamford Bridge is probably advised. Carlo Ancelotti's men are seeking their fifth consecutive league win of the season while it will be key they keep that run going before next weekend's trip to Manchester City. Blackpool's last visit to Chelsea, back in 1996, saw them claim a 3-1 triumph. You can get odds of 200/1 on a repeat of that scoreline.

Completing Sunday's matches is Wigan Athletic's encounter against Manchester City. After conceding 10 goals in their first two matches, Wigan have since let in just the one in their following outings. City, meanwhile, have not been leaking goals, but they have hardly been prolific, despite the wealth of riches at manager Roberto Mancini's disposal. City's one win out of four games this season is not inspiring stuff, considering the summer financial outlay, so a repeat of last term's 3-0 cruise over Wigan will be most welcome. How fresh City are after Thursday's success in Salzburg should also make for interesting viewing.

Saturday's first match kicks off at lunchtime, live on Sky Sports HD2 & 2, as Stoke City go head-to-head with pointless West Ham United. The bottom-of-the-table Hammers will be without manager Grant because of the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur. West Ham have lost all four of their opening matches, and the game at the Britannia Stadium looked set to be a battle of two winless sides, only for Stoke to come from a goal down and beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Monday night. The Potters will be hopeful that said triumph will spark their season into life. For West Ham, a defence that has been a major headache, with 12 goals shipped to date, coupled with just two goals scored, is a combination for failure. Things needs to improve, and fast.

Sunderland face Arsenal in a Saturday teatime match-up. The Gunners were rampant in the Champions League on Wednesday, scoring six goals with captain Cesc Fabregas in superb form. Focus now returns to the league as they go in search of a fourth win on the bounce to, perhaps only temporarily, go top of the standings. Despite Sunderland's unconvincing start to the campaign, Arsene Wenger will be wary of the Black Cats after the Gunners lost on Wearside last term. Sunderland demonstrated impressive character in their previous outing after they had Lee Cattermole sent off - the midfielder will be absent this weekend - and came away from Wigan with a point. Record signing Asamoah Gyan will be itching for his first start for the club he joined for £13million after scoring on his debut.

Kevin MacDonald will serve as Aston Villa's caretaker manager for the final time when the club host Bolton Wanderers. MacDonald, who has overseen the side since Martin O'Neill's departure, will be replaced by Gerard Houllier after the clash. MacDonald would love to go out on a high, especially after his charges fell to a late defeat on Monday, while Houllier would welcome taking the reins with the team boasting nine points instead of six. Bolton head into the game following a 4-1 stumble at Arsenal, but with optimism in tow. Said result was their first loss of the campaign while Owen Coyle's mixture of his own style and their long-standing directness looks an effective combination.

Tottenham Hotspur must show they can cope with their new Champions League commitments when they tackle Wolverhampton Wanderers. Spurs played on Tuesday, drawing 2-2 against Werder Bremen, letting a two-goal lead slide. Harry Redknapp's charges have recorded a single three-point haul in the league this term, and they will be on their guard against Wolves. Indeed, the Midlands club claimed a shock 1-0 scalp at White Hart Lane last season. Wolves have managed a respectable return of five points thus far this campaign, while attention has begun to focus on whether Mick McCarthy's side are a dirty one. McCarthy has defended his men, despite the club sitting bottom of the fair play table.

West Bromwich Albion lock horns with Midlands rivals Birmingham City at The Hawthorns. The signs have been encouraging for Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo since the club's opening day spanking at Chelsea. And the Italian will be desperate to reward the home faithful, who have seen their side win just one of their 16 Midlands derbies in the Premier League. Birmingham were solid performers in their last match, finishing aside, as they played out a goalless draw against Liverpool. That stalemate made it three draws from four fixtures, but the club remain unbeaten nonetheless, and currently sit fifth in the embryonic table.

Everton's tails should be up as they welcome Newcastle United to Goodison Park. After a poor start to the campaign, the Toffees dug deep to claim a hugely dramatic point against Manchester United last Saturday. Manager David Moyes will now hope that such a rally will serve to kick-start their term. The Magpies have so far struggled for consistency since their return to the top flight, and the club may find it tough going on Merseyside. Indeed, they have failed to win in their last seven visits to Goodison Park in the Premier League. Newcastle were beaten in their previous outing against Blackpool, and boss Chris Hughton has confirmed he has challenged his players to respond on Saturday.

Lastly, Mark Hughes returns to his old stomping ground as the now-Fulham manager takes his troops to Ewood Park to tackle Blackburn Rovers. Hughes should be pleased with his beginning in charge of the Cottagers, with the side unbeaten in their opening four games and having earned their first win under the Welshman in their last clash. Attention now turns to addressing Fulham's dreadful away record, which has seen them fail to claim victory in their last 20 Premier League matches on the road. Blackburn were finally rewarded for some battling displays after they came away from Eastlands with a point to show for their efforts. Said draw halted a run of two defeats.

Albrighton grateful to MacDonald

Marc AlbrightonAlbrighton slides to check against Lithuania in Colchester extreme Aston Villa Marc Albrighton has paid tribute to the work done by Chief Executive Kevin MacDonald in his role as team manager reserve.

Albrighton, 20, scored his first goal for England under-21s on Tuesday 3-0 victory against Lithuania.

And emerging talent feels the transition team that made the first of the Villa has been understated by MacDonald.

Albrighton "I think it has really helped me in the past two seasons with reservations for Villa", told the BBC.

"That really gave me confidence in my game and now, since he was appointed Interim Manager, who gave me this chance in the first team would like to think I have had it."

Reservations over the past few years have been absolutely fantastic

Midfielder born Tamworth made his first team debut in a Uefa Cup tie against CSKA Moscow in February 2009, a game that saw then Manager Martin O'Neill controversial leave most of their senior players at home.

But took departure of O'Neill for Albrighton to become a regular Championship, and he knows that there are more young people ready to take the step.

Already this season the likes of Eric Lichaj defenders and midfielders Ciaran Clark, Jonathan Hogg and Barry Bannan and attacker Andreas Weimann had a taste of first team action.

"We had many young players, reservations over the past few years have been absolutely fantastic-we have a large group of players.

"We know that if you put any of these young guys in that they will make your job a that will store its own guess has proven that".

Albrighton's goal for England helped secure a place in the play-offs under-21 Championship, with the real prospect of meeting Scotland side of Bannan after they went through with a 2-1 victory over Austria.

"I heard he scored well – he's a terrific player would be brilliant. to play against him, but let's give whoever comes our way."

How to spot a bad coaching youth football not good, and guide team

Telltale signs of bad accompanied youth football teams:

How to tell if a youth football team is bad coached in relation to a team that just does not accept players?
That's a very good question, other than the obvious organizational characters (bad practices priorities), there is a simple character always tells me talent as a team or not.How does the team on the Defense? they are each game 50-0 loss or the losses are 20-6, 12-0, 18-6? The team is getting a lot of talk?

As a youth football team every game of 50 points, which they can lose in one of those situations 100-1 "perfect storm", a rarity is akin to a Bigfoot sighting in Kansas. But if they are "ok" on the defence in spurts do, this means that the team has a few athletes, but has no offense. How can a youth football team with a few athletes on the defense and can hold their own in spurts, so little points score on the attack? POOR soccer coachUsually much "grab bags" a little bit of this, little of that and very little to score. Most of these teams will be carried out too much play football, and the coach seems to always be looking for that Holy Grail of football plays his transgression of the recession. These violations often change from week to week.

The head coach is responsible for choosing the offensive scheme, the education and, in most cases, call on the football plays. There are plenty of violations that are designed for teams of even small and slow. There is no reason why every youth football team in America should not be an average of at least 20 points a game, even bad teams. If your head coach teams or organizations consistently on average less than 20 points a game, the offensive action is both arms or it does not fit the children.

By the way, not the children fun each if they are getting out of 4 of 9 games, kids want to score touchdowns.Choose The head coach, he is 100% responsible for his choice, so not consistent scoring his system and his play football, it was a bad choice and decision making skills discussion. What is more good youth football coaching in other than the sum of good decisions made? If the coaches ego is so connected with the existing way of doing things that he makes no changes that will benefit the children, what does this say about the coach? Is he for themselves the children?

If you are coaching youth football are stuck or play on a team, ask yourself whether the head coach, "the exact changes will happen this year that go on in order to ensure that the team more points than the previous season scoring will?" "What, exactly, is going to change specific this year that is different than last year?"

If the answer is "Gee-coaches I hope we can realize a better that" X "player", Houston, there is a problem. the fairies football to drop the following Barry Sanders in your lap set your hope is not good youth football coaching and is the mantra of the excuse maker coach who want to enter the game 100% about who the most talent, a lottery of sorts. That's why I don't recruit Stud players, as the local nail wrestler, baseball, basketball player want to play for us, we will be sure that everyone on his wrestling, baseball, basketball team has one of our flyers. But I could care less if the nail or not, we are going to do with which group of Misfit Toys Christmas drops on our door.

That's why I'm a bit leery of the "Super recruiter" youth football coaches, which is so much of his work in the recruitment of players. My preference is for a less talented youth football team, it's more fun and profits with them more rewarding than a team loaded with size and talent. If you're stuck with a coach like the "Barry Sanders" wisher and can't convince him to change to an attack that do not rely on talent or he's not that he's got a problem and needs to admit will adjust, look for another team or organization to respond.Life is too short to waste your time with such heads in the sand are disabled, and it's not worth the frustration.

In 1999 we were many games of 18-6, 12-0 loss. I admitted that we had a problem to resolve, and were not to put in a few new football games and hope for the different results or wait 10 years before that one in a million player to drop on our rounds or do the same thing over and over and over again. other infringements and methodologies, switched to the internal Wing attack investigated and in our first year of the gate we average about 35 points a game and won a championship league.Last year 13 different children scored touchdowns on my personal team as we average about 40 points per game. In 1999, I had 3 different children score touchdowns, which team do you think more fun? Larry Lourcey Plano, Texas had a youth football team, who scored 4 TDs in 2005, in 2006 they switched to the internal Wing attack with exactly the same team and scored 44 TDs with 11 different players scoring and went from 0-10, now that's fun.

Get left out is not fun, ask your players. There are hundreds of stories like this, but they are not submitted by teams, led by Mr ostrich. show "Mr head in the sand" what video of his team and then a good coached youth football teams DVD that an average of 40 points a game and let him decide for themselves. If all what he wants to do is pray for Mr Superstud to the country in his lap, or he two new football play, change the teams.Youth football coaching should be fun, it won't if you have to train with him.

Funny how even in 100% complete blind "design competitions, which every year the same coaches WINS. Coaching youth football is not a lottery, let no man you feed that line.

With more than 15 years of experience as a youth coach, Dave has developed a detailed systematic approach to develop players and teams. his personal teams for the use of this system so far have won 97% of their games in 5 different competitions. his website is: football plays
