McFadden sidelined with knee injury

James McFaddenMcFadden is an important player for the Club and country Birmingham and Scotland forward James McFadden faces a long spell out of action after suffering damage of anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

Club statement said that McFadden would be out "for the foreseeable future".

He picked up the injury in training and see an expert on Monday in order to go through surgery.

McFadden, 27, had featured in all four games of Blues football this season, as well as two Euro 2012 opening qualifiers of Scotland.

Only goal of the former Motherwell and Everton, campaign so far came in the Carling Cup victory last month about Rochdale.

But your club and country sure miss him, and he seems chances of miss Scotland travel to Czech Republic on 8 October and the home tie against world champion Spain, four days later.

If you broke the ligament McFadden, he could face six months or more off the game, or is not taken the decision to operate.
