Capello stresses that Rooney will play

Rooney happy playing-Capello England boss Fabio Capello says that Wayne Rooney will play in Euro 2012 Tuesday qualifier away to Switzerland despite allegations about his private life.

"He was very good in training and is in a good situation," said Capello.

The News of the world and the newspaper Sunday Mirror, allegedly that Rooney slept with a prostitute, while his wife Coleen was pregnant with her son.

Captain Steven Gerrard added: "Yes, he has a problem off the pitch but I don't think it'll stop him playing well".

Capello stripped John Terry's Captaincy after allegations about privacy of central defender.

The England manager denied, however, that he adopted a more lenient approach with Rooney.

"He played in every game, I never stopped him," said the Italian.

"We hope that Wayne Rooney doesn't play well as he can, but if something like this will affect him, I don't know, let's see".
