Next to Steve Beaglehole missed European final that Irlandado completed his UEFA European under-21 Championship qualifying match with a disappointing defeat in Germany. Northern Ireland extended in Ingolstadt up to the minute 42 when Lewis Holtby's Germany.
Holtby doubled the advantage from Germany to 60 minutes and Patrick Herrmann scored the third goal seven minutes later.
Hosts and Northern Ireland were already out of contention for a place in next year's European final.
